Privacy policy
Last updated 31 August 2026
This policy explains what NewCoFeed does with personal data. It is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, email privacy@newcofeed.com.
Who we are
NewCoFeed is operated by the operator of NewCoFeed, the data controller for the personal data described below.
What we collect about you
- Your email address, when you create an alert or subscribe. This is the only piece of personal data we ask you for.
- Your alert filters — the sectors and towns you chose.
- Billing records, if you subscribe. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our servers; we store only a Stripe customer reference and your subscription status.
- A session cookie (
ncf_token) so that following a link from your email keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the service and is not used for advertising or tracking.
What we do not collect
No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics profiling, no data brokers, and no selling or sharing of your email address with anyone. The company records on this site are corporate public register data, not personal data about you — see Data & licensing.
Why we may use your data (lawful basis)
- Performing our contract with you — sending the alerts you asked for and running your subscription.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the service secure and working, and preventing abuse.
- Legal obligation — retaining billing records for tax purposes.
Who we share it with
Only the processors we need to run the service: Supabase (database hosting, EU/London region), Vercel (application hosting), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email delivery). Each is bound by its own data processing terms.
How long we keep it
Your email address and alerts for as long as your account is active, and for up to six months afterwards in case you return. Billing records for six years, as UK tax law requires. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove everything we are not legally required to keep.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or take it elsewhere. Email privacy@newcofeed.com and we will respond within one month. Every alert email also carries an unsubscribe link. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
